What’s on offer?

We are looking to fill the role of a National Injury Management Advisor, and you will have the option to be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane. Reporting to the National Workcover & Injury Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting and advising on effective injury management and the return-to-work process.

In this role, you will provide meaningful and regular reports to management to raise awareness of claims risk and identify risk mitigation opportunities. You’ll conduct regular training and workshops, develop ongoing strategies for injury management, streamline processes within the IMS, and oversee claims to insurers to ensure full entitlements are obtained for employees and Fulton Hogan.

Occasional travel across Australia will be required to provide injury management support to our business.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Assisting in the development, review, and updating of the business worker's compensation procedures and strategy across our three business sectors.
  • Ensuring business compliance with workers compensation strategy, and escalating non-compliance situations to the National Injury & Workcover Manager
  • Liaising with the business and monitoring developments in business activities to ensure risks are appropriately identified assessed and where appropriate procure necessary workers compensation insurance.
  • Ensuring all required policies are in place for business streams, confirming annual renewals are in place at 30th June each year.
  • Ensuring workers compensation guidelines and documentation are current and representative of each states legislative requirements to ensure compliance with workers compensation law.
  • Assisting in other special projects associated with injury management, return to work and fitness for work

How you’ll connect to the role?
We’re looking for someone with approximately 5 years of experience in workers compensation claims and rehabilitation management. Relevant qualifications in this space will be highly regarded. Your expertise in the administration of workers compensation placements and strong knowledge of Australian Workers Compensation legislation will set you up for success in this role.

In addition to your technical expertise, you possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders at all levels. Your relationship-building abilities allow you to cultivate strong, productive relationships with colleagues, executives, and external service providers.

You’ll bring an analytical and detail-oriented approach to ensure every aspect of injury management is thoroughly covered. Handling sensitive injury cases with empathy and patience, ensuring employee well-being is prioritised, is one of your key strengths. Additionally, you thrive in dynamic environments and have the adaptability to handle changing priorities with ease.
